According to the official complete works, the rathians in the new world behave differently due to the fewer numbers of rathalos. Basically, the rathalos have many mates and only the strongest one is allowed to live with the Rathalos. The rest have to live in the wildspire wastes.

Ah yes crown farming where the rng gods love or hate you. I have 1000h ingame and only got the platin for world. Still working on the dlc 😅

One time I was on a quest on shrine ruins, and when I looked on the map I noticed a monster 'question' marker on area 5, on the top of the mountain that has a flat area where a bonepile is located, and it was my first time seeing that a monster can go on the specific area, i checked on the area only the find that a sleeping rajang was sleeping on the area.

I'm actually happy that they didn't change the original enemy AI - it makes things interesting and actually give some threat, while in MHS2 it was simply boring. What I'm actually not happy about are the graphics - the colors look oversaturated and some graphics seem overly smoothed out (what's up with dens?). I'm also sad that they didn't allow for repositioning the genes (that was a major quality of life boost for mhs2!), and I'm sorry they didn't add quick fights when facing lower lvl monsters... Gonna miss that a lot when lvling my party! Still, the more challenging fights and the ability to change Monstie's element are somethings to be looking forward to! As well as actually compelling story and characters (mhs2 sucked in that regard😅).

As someone who's entry to the MH franchise was Tri and 3U, I feel you've almost perfectly captured the feelings the two games still give me to this day. I especially enjoyed the fact that you put a bit of background behind the hunter and included Moonquake in the audio during their battle with Ceadeus. My only complaint is that I would like a followup for the high rank and g rank quests. Thank you for making a great representation of my personal favorite in the series.

I'm about fifteen minutes in and so far you've used the word "factoid" twice to refer to MHR looking worse than MHW. A factoid is something that is passed around as a fact, but is actually false. Think "humanoid" - like a human, but not, or "android" - resembling a man (andro) but actually a machine, or "asteroid" - looks like a star, but it's not. A factoid looks like a fact, and may be treated as such, but is ultimately untrue. "Urine is sterile" would be an example, or "it takes seven years to digest chewing gum." We don't have another English word to replace factoid if its meaning is forgotten, so the language would end up losing meaning overall, and things would become a tiny bit more muddled and ambiguous. I just don't like seeing that happen.

I felt like there was something off about the vigilante arch, but I couldn’t put my finger on it besides it feeling rushed. This video you made was amazing! Thank you! I would have liked to see more of the secret hero training program that produced Hawks and Lady Nagant. And maybe a better reaction from Deku to Lady Nagant’s speech. She reveals that the safety commission has been training and using assassins, and then I don’t think it is brought up again. It is disappointing as you put it. I understand the author is a real guy though. And that manga authors are often overworked. I wouldn’t be surprised if he started rushing the story as a way of making it end faster like you talked about. I also wonder if the producers could have had anything to do with the change. Most big action shows and movies seem to follow the move to the next big moment as fast as possible structure. I think everything you talked in this video about starting with a satisfying preparation, deliberation, and payoff structure but then just replacing it with rushed payoff is also what killed the Marvel cinematic universe. Yet big media companies don’t seem to have caught on. Anyway thanks again! This was great! I hope to write my own stories someday and this helped me immensely! 😊

I played the original on the 3ds when it came out in 2017. I was really surprised by it, I just downloaded the demo thinking I could kill time with it and by the end of the long demo (which is great) I had preordered the game x) I think nostalgia and the fact that it is entirely voice acted now could make me buy it again haha I loved the sequel too but the first one has a special place in my heart :)

I played this game for 650 hours and i stopped playing once i beat all of the EX monsters and got that final crown. Mind you the 650 hours was over about a 2 year time period. And i still haven’t done everything there is to do.
